Child Labor Monitoring Platform

PROJECT OVERVIEW

This case study covers the design of the Child Labour Monitoring and Remediation System (CLMRS), developed by Farmerline for [Client]. The platform was created to streamline the process of tracking, reporting, and addressing child labor within the cocoa supply chain. It enables Tony’s Open Chain to monitor ethical labor practices, ensuring compliance with international standards. THE PROBLEM

As a Product Designer at Farmerline, I worked on the CLMRS system, a platform built to improve transparency and efficiency in addressing child labor across the cocoa supply chain. The system centralizes incident reporting, tracks cases, and supports actionable remediation, helping field agents and stakeholders respond quickly and consistently. My role focused on designing an intuitive interface that made it easy to log incidents, monitor progress, and implement resolutions, even in low-connectivity environments.

How can we enable field agents and stakeholders to easily report, track, and act on child labor cases to drive meaningful change across the cocoa supply chain?
